We are excited to announce that Tech Elevator campuses are returning to in-person instruction starting in May, 2022.
To ensure the health and safety of our team and our students, except where prohibited by law, we are requiring that students who wish to learn in-person are up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations (as defined by the CDC) by the cohort start date. This requirement is applicable to our Ohio, Pennsylvania and Delaware campuses.
For students who are unable or do not wish to receive the vaccine or those who feel more comfortable learning remotely, Tech Elevator offers our National Live Remote program starting the same day as in-person classes. For the past two years, all Tech Elevator locations have operated in the live remote learning environment. We’ve implemented best-in-class tools and technologies to deliver the same personalized instruction and career prep support as our in-person model.
While we are excited to get back on campus, Tech Elevator reserves the right to amend its policies at any time in response to changing public health and safety concerns—up to and including shifting its in-person instruction to Live Remote learning.
Why are we requiring vaccines?
We have chosen to require vaccines to ensure the safest possible classroom experience, following the CDC and state regulatory guidelines, without inconveniencing students and Tech Elevator staff. Knowing that all students in a Tech Elevator campus are up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations minimizes the risk of exposure and spread of the COVID-19 virus and reduces potential disruption during the cohort due to CDC quarantine and isolation requirements
Students will demonstrate that they meet this requirement prior to picking up their laptops by showing their vaccination card(s).
Whether you are learning in-person or remote, you can expect a quality learning experience from Tech Elevator that includes:
Daily Lectures:
Each morning, students participate in engaging, interactive lectures led by some of the most experienced instructors in the industry. For the National Live Remote program, we leverage the best video conferencing software available to make it easy for students to ask questions and participate in class discussions.
Group Work:
Peer learning is an important component of education at Tech Elevator for both in-person and online. National Live Remote students can use video-conferencing and messaging tools to collaborate closely through pair-programming and for group exercises.
Individual Support:
Our comprehensive full-stack curriculum covers a lot of ground and for all students, there are areas where they need extra support to keep moving forward. Our instructors and support staff dedicate time throughout the day to work with students 1-on-1.
More Than Code. It’s About Your Career:
In addition to learning to code, we help our job-seeking participants prepare for their next career. From resume building and job search best practices to mock interviews and industry connections through our hiring network, we act as an efficient onramp to careers in tech.
Our entire team takes our responsibility to each and every student that comes to Tech Elevator with seriousness and pride. We know the impact we have on our students, hiring partners and the broader community and are working harder than ever to maintain and expand our impact at this critical time.
