Course Report Interview: Why Fast Enterprises Keeps Hiring Tech Elevator Grads
The IT consulting firm Fast Enterprises continues looking to Tech Elevator for strong tech talent. They’ve hired more than 20 Tech Elevator alumni so far, and FAST recruiters say that our grads consistently stand out in technical skills and professionalism.
In a recent interview with Course Report, two FAST recruiters discussed their company’s needs and why hiring Tech Elevator graduates works so well for them.
“We’ve hired from other bootcamps and hope to hire more bootcamp students in the future, but Tech Elevator graduates have by far been the most successful hires for us,” said recruiter Christina Concilio.
FAST most often hires bootcamp grads for its implementation consultant role, a unique blend of software engineering and client-facing problem-solving.
“This role requires some coding, but I like to emphasize that the role is more focused on configuration, technical problem-solving, and talking to people,” said recruiter Aliya Getchell.
Career changers, in particular, thrive at FAST, according to Christina.
“There is a lot of value in that because we value potential. We see people who are coachable and excited to learn,” she said. “Career changers have been very successful at FAST, since our role is a bit more unique because it involves software and consulting.”
