Pathway Program Director, Detroit
Prior to Tech Elevator I was...
managing events for a language-learning software company.
The students at Tech Elevator...
inspire me every day!
The best part of my day is...
meeting with students to discuss their hopes for the future.
Nicole attended Boston College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Linguistics — go Eagles! After college, she moved to NYC to work at a SaaS startup that focused on online marketing for small businesses. In 2014, Nicole moved back to her home city of Detroit to be a part of the renaissance and growth happening in the city. Once back in the Midwest, she worked as a private tutor and academic coach for students of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds on a wide range of subjects. Most recently, Nicole managed conferences, trade shows, and client events for a language-learning software company, where she enjoyed working with educational institutions, public libraries, and corporations to help their communities expand their view of the world. After spending time in EdTech, she came to Tech Elevator to find the perfect mix of both, where she is excited to work with students to further their careers and define their futures.
Nicole lives in Detroit, and loves to explore new (and old) restaurants around the city. She loves to go "up north," and be outside, read a good book, and hang out on Lake Michigan. She is passionate about music and sings in the Detroit Women's Chorus, a social justice and equality focused community choir, and also enjoys art, cooking, and a good crossword puzzle.
