Prior to Tech Elevator I was...

working with tech startups.

The students at Tech Elevator...

inspire me; it takes a lot of courage to leave your current job in order to pursue a new career.

The best part of my day is...

when I have a positive impact on a student’s career, because I know it will also positively impact their lives.

Laura Coffee has over 25 years of program and business development experience. Receiving her degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, Laura has always been passionate about supporting others through education and training.  She has a diverse background as an entrepreneur having started two companies both providing career transition services for individuals and businesses, Parents at Work and her current company, Painted Turtle Partners. Laura also had the opportunity to build strong relationships within the tech community and support high-growth, high-tech startups through her work at Rev1 Ventures and nChannel - a Fast 50 startup.

Laura started Painted Turtle Partners in 2016 because she wanted to continue to help individuals to move forward, not only in their career, but also in their everyday life. She believes that you should wake up on Monday morning excited about the week ahead. Along with a degree in Social Work, she is also Certified as a Birkman Consultant and a Certified Professional Résumé Writer through the Professional Association of Résumé Writers & Career Coaches.

As the Pathway Director at Tech Elevator, Laura has the opportunity to use her skills and her network to support the students as they transition to new careers in software development.  Laura enjoys challenging herself and trying new things, and her outside interests include kayaking, hiking, photography and hanging with her two grown sons whenever they are available.
