David Pfaltzgraff-Carlson

Instructor, Cincinnati

Prior to Tech Elevator I was...

leading a small team developing mobile puzzle games.

The students at Tech Elevator...

are a wonderful learning community.

The best part of my day is...

when students ask questions, creating opportunities for new insight.

David has been programming since he was 8 years old when his family got their first home computer (an Apple II+). After receiving his degree in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati, he embarked on a career that has included developing software for magazine production, full-stack web development, and leading a team to develop puzzle games for iOS and Android. In his 20+ years of professional experience he has worked with a wide array of programming languages and technologies, ranging from C to CSS.

David loves learning and teaching. As a volunteer, he has led Hour of Code activities and taught Arduino programming at his son's elementary school. He also regularly teaches people how to play the ancient Asian game of Go. He sees education as a never-ending journey, and is grateful for every opportunity to accompany others on their journeys of learning and discovery.
